First, look at a photo, or a landscape and try to guess which note in the system you should use. Then put these on and you'll find how your eyes trick you.

I paint all my note paintings wearing these, and then I don't have to hold anything. Once I started painting with them I don't want to paint without them.

Unlike other red lenses, these glasses are specially created to remove all colors so you can see the notes, or values, in any scene or photo.

Once you look through these, you may be surprised how far off your perceived value notes were!

You'll want a pair for the studio and another if you paint outside.

Also, they offer 100% UV protection.

Value for money

I was doubtful if these would work better than squinting but they are certainly helpful in seeing values better. And I've always wanted rose tinted glasses. I'm not sure how much I will use them but I've added them to my kit. My entire plein air club tried them on and looked like celebrities. I thought they were a tad expensive for a product that improves value perception but I treated myself for the holidays and have no regrets.

Fabulous for value drawing

I work in transparent watercolor & do a value drawing underneath. These specs make me see the world through my own eyes in values of b&w â€¦ fantastic!
